Gibson, as a puppy, had quite a unique way of keeping himself occupied. Some of these ways weren't always pleasing. Such as, chewing carpet, digging holes in the yard and chewing a healthy amount of grass. Needless to say all that time trying to make the yard green has been a futile attempt. He also had an extreme attraction to wood. He would find any stick in the yard and chew on it until there is barely anything left. This he has not out grown. If there isn't an ample amount of fallen sticks, then he would go for the deck or the wooden fence posts. Another surprise was the amount of rocks, and I mean big rocks, that he would try to sink his teeth into. I was under the impression this might slow down when he lost his "puppy teeth" but I was mistaken.

Another one of Gibson's enjoyments were his walks. We faithfully took him for walks around the park. You would always find him sniffing his way along. He has quite a nose on him.

In the city, Gibson would go over to my sisters house and bark at the cat. Over at my folks, if Gibson was not outside, you would find him laying on my parents ottoman. When he was a pup he used to sit on it.

As he got older, he "straddled" it.

Now Gibson is a little bit slower. He has mellowed out a little bit. Give him a big stick or a rawhide and he is quite content. He usually comes up on the bed at night for a little bit, but then gets down to sleep the rest of the night away.

Tanner keeps him fairly active and Gibson still does the classic run like crazy in circles for no apparent reason.

Tanner with a shoe Tanner also enjoys chewing on sticks. He also has a shoe and sock fetish. If either are laying about he will be sure to have one in his mouth. He also enjoys being around us wherever we go. He even sleeps on the bed with us at night.

Gibson and Tanner fetching sticks in the water
Tanner and Gibson both love camping and the water. They will swim all day and fetch sticks if your arm is up to the task.

Gibson pouting It is funny how similar their mannerisms are. From the very effective pout look to their sighing simultaneously.

What I enjoy the most is their ability to make you smile. They are both good at that.
